Church filled to overflowing in remembering Rex Fleming’s short but overflowing life

Hundreds gathered Friday morning to honor the memory of 10-year-old Rex Fleming, the crowd so great that it overflowed the sanctuary of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church into other areas of the church to accommodate all those wishing to pay respects. Fleming, who died Sunday after a two-year fight with brain cancer, was honored through song, fond recollections by those who knew him in life, and in an opening slide show and video presentation that showed the sports-loving Fleming at play, hanging out with family and friends, and just being a typical 10-year-old.
