The P4X Inaugural Golf Tournament went off without a hitch.
We would like to thank all the participants and sponsors who participated in the tournament, our gracious hosts, the Abilene Country Club for all their hard work, and rising Country star, Aaron Watson for his performance and gracious spirit. The tournament would not have been possible without them.
The golf tournament last spring made right at $25,000. That money will continue to be used to hand out iPod touches to Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth and Meeks Children Hospital in Abilene. The donations from the golf tournament will also be used to contribute to a $25,000 donation to the new Hendrick Hospice Facility. This money will be used to create a “Teen Room” in the facility, which will have TV’s, movies, and video games for children who are in hospice care, or children who are visiting loved ones in the facility.
“We are able to honor Rex’s memory this way thanks to the many generous donations we’ve received to the foundation in the last two years, as well as the phenomenal turnout we had for the first P4X golf tournament last April. Thank you to all of you who have prayed for us, for Rex, for the foundation, and for what we’re trying to accomplish. Please continue to pray for the foundation and for God’s direction as we seek to honor Him and preserve Rex’s memory.
And go ahead and mark your calendars now for Monday, April 13, 2015, for the second P4X Foundation golf tournament at the Abilene Country Club. You’ll be hearing more about it later this fall and into the spring.” - Founder, Lance Fleming
