We just wanted to let you know that the Play 4 Rex (P4X) Foundation will host its seventh fundraising golf tournament on Monday May 17, 2021 at the Abilene Country Club (South Treadaway location). We had to cancel last year’s tournament because of COVID-19, but we are planning to move forward with the tournament again in 2021. We’ll have more information for you on COVID-related requirements as we get closer, but we’re hoping for it to be as normal a day as possible.
As usual, we’ll have two flights, the first at 8:30 a.m. and the second at 2 p.m., and we’ll have both breakfast for the early flight players and lunch for players in both flights. The last four times we’ve played we’ve had at least 52 teams, and we anticipate that many and maybe more this year. If that’s the case, we could look into some interesting alternatives that might attract an entirely new group of players who haven’t been able to join us on Mondays in the past because of work conflicts. We’ll keep you updated on those plans if we need to put them into place.
As always, a foursome will be $500 and individual players will be $150. We will set up an online registration site through the Abilene Country Club, but you can also email me or respond to this post with your intent to play, your team members and preferred tee time. We will take payment through our website (p4xfoundation.com) or the day of the tournament. You can email me at email@example.com.
If you are interested in helping us with sponsorships, the available sponsorships, their cost and what comes with that sponsorship are all listed in the graphic below.
Our foundation and the people it has benefitted since 2013 have been so blessed by each of you who have played in the tournament, sponsored it, volunteered or prayed for it and we thank each of you. Now we gear for up for another tournament and hope you’ll join us and bring a friend along or get a friend to chip in with sponsorship money.
We understand this pandemic and the resulting job losses have made things difficult for many of our friends and neighbors and if you are unable to sponsor or play this year, we totally understand. But our hope is that many of you will still want to be a part – maybe even a bigger part – of what we’re doing with the foundation and help make this our biggest and best tournament yet.
